Statement
Memories, portraits of plush toys revolve around the human experience and the environment. Plush toys teach children how to love and be gentle with each other. They are the ultimate symbol of love and care. Some animals painted in this series are endangered species that are likely to become extinct shortly. The portraits are painted with mixed media on a wood board. Through pencil, color pencil, sanding, adding a whitewash over the painting makes the faces fade away and appear in a fog-like mystery. It feels that the animals speak to us through their eyes. They want us to reconnect with them with a special message of love, living responsibly and taking action for a better tomorrow as an individual and collective.
